Will Washington Finally Act on Drug Prices?
Time & Location
Lowering prescription drug prices remains a high priority for voters of all party affiliations. Members in the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate have drafted legislation to address high drug prices, and the House is expected to vote on a drug pricing bill tomorrow - but do these bills have a chance of passing into law?
Part of the Health Matters webinar series, this webinar provided an update on federal and state policy efforts to lower drug prices, including:
- An overview of the pharmaceutical industry and opportunities for cost savings
- State strategies to lower drug prices, including transparency laws and affordability reviews
- Insights on the leading policy proposals in Congress and the Trump Administration and potential barriers to their success
This webinar is a project of the USC Annenberg Center for Health Journalism and NIHCM Foundation.
