Summary of the Project:

This study will use claims data for active-duty U.S. Army personnel to investigate the feasibility and impact of a personalized decision support system that can assist physicians with prescribing decisions by predicting a patient’s risk of developing opioid dependence. The work has the potential to improve opioid prescribing practices and minimize the likelihood of opioid addiction.
