A NIHCM Foundation Journalism Grant will support in-depth reporting to advance understanding of the mental health needs of LGBTQ teens through reporting on the personal, familial and financial toll to be placed in a variety of local and national outlets.

Founded in 1948, the American Society of Journalists and Authors is the nation's professional organization of independent nonfiction writers. Membership consists of outstanding freelance writers of magazine articles, trade books, and many other forms of nonfiction writing.
