Summary of the Project:
A growing number of Americans are taking immunosuppressant drugs. This investigation seeks to understand why and examines different issues with the drugs, their approval and usage.
About the Grantee:
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, which is part of the USA Today Network, and MedPage Today, an online medical news organization, have teamed up to produce dozens of high-impact, national award-winning investigative medical projects. In 2016, after the Journal Sentinel was purchased by Gannett, stories from the partnership also began running in USA Today and other publications in the USA Today Network, which includes 109 newspapers and affiliated websites.
