Improving Understanding of Maternal and Child Health

November 1st 2005

In April 2005, NIHCM Foundation won the Improving Understanding of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) and Health Care Issues (IUMCH) grant, which is a 5-year grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration's Maternal and Health Bureau (MCHB) to educate decision-makers about the complexities of and approaches to meeting the health service needs of women and children. Under the grant, NIHCM Foundation will continue its work on maternal and child health issues including convening conferences, publishing background papers, and distributing the "Women's and Children's Health Update," among other activities.
