Encouraging Adolescents’ Use of Recommended Health Care Services

July 30th 2008

NIHCM Foundation invites you to participate in a webinar "Encouraging Adolescents' Use of Recommended Health Care Services" on Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 1:00-2:30 PM (EDT).  This webinar will explore current health plan efforts to engage providers and adolescents in order to increase adolescent well-child visit rates and provide age-appropriate preventive care to adolescents.  It will also highlight opportunities for health plans and health care providers to utilize social marketing, the use of commercial marketing principles to change behavior to benefit society and individuals, to promote healthy behaviors among adolescents. Finally, the session will explore how mobile technology applications, which are commonly used by adolescents, can be used to send health care reminders to adolescents and improve provider-patient communications outside of the medical setting.
