By bringing thought leaders from the public and private sector together, NIHCM Foundation conducts research that promotes improvements in health care access, management and quality. 

NIHCM Foundation sponsors research, approved by its Board and Advisory Board, if it meets the following criteria:

  1. High quality, objective and nonpartisan
  2. Of national importance
  3. Useful to policymakers, consumers, and the health care industry
  4. Achievable within a reasonable time frame; and
  5. Likely to contribute to improving health care delivery in general and health care plan practices in particular.
