Health Information Technology

Large advances in technological capacity for health information have been made in recent years. In addition, health information technology has the potential to reduce costs and improve quality, information transparency and patient satisfaction. Unfortunately, the health care system lags other industries in adoption of IT. In partnership with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, NIHCM Foundation is addressing the issues surrounding the adoption and implementation of HIT in practices and communities.
