SpotlightPrevention Spotlight: Worksite Wellness Program Works WondersJEA, a Platinum Well Workplace, is partnering with its health plan, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Inc. (BCBSF), to improve the health and safety of its employees. Better You from Blue Worksite Wellness program is part of BCBSF’s Blueprint for Health, an overarching program to help members improve their health through care advocacy, decision support, education and health coaching. The worksite wellness component of Blueprint for Health offers employers a comprehensive program that provides education and support to make positive behavior changes which leads to enhanced consumerism, increased productivity and improved health for the employee, retirees and their families. JEA recently released the results of a study looking at the impact of their comprehensive worksite wellness program, Health Works. View the BCBSF press release for more information. Prevention Spotlight: Sharing Health Plan Initiatives in Promoting PreventionHighmark's innovative demonstration project “Health eTools for Schools” is a recently implemented initiative designed to model CDC’s Coordinated School Health Program (CSHP). The project provides an integrated health database to a pilot group of Pennsylvania schools and includes a secure electronic health record for each student, modules for policy development, and resources for best-practices exchange among participating schools.
