NIHCM Foundation Health Care Research and Journalism Awards
Who is the entrant?
The entrant is the lead contact for the entry. You must choose a single entrant.
In Research Award and Print Journalism Award entries, the entrant is typically the lead author. However, in some circumstances, such as a news series in which there is no lead author, the editor could be the entrant. The entrant must be authorized to enter the work on behalf of the authors and/or the publication.
In Television and Radio Journalism Award entries, the entrant is typically the producer or reporter. Again, the entrant must be authorized to submit the work on behalf of the production team and/or station.
If you are both the submitter and the entrant, click the box next to "Entrant is the same as the submitter" on the entrant information form. The entrant contact fields will auto-populate with the information you typed in the earlier step.
The entrant is automatically credited as an author/contributor unless indicated in step 2. Entrant Information (by checking the box next to "Entrant should not be credited as a contributor to the entry").
You may submit a limited number of entries per entrant. For the Journalism Awards, no more than three (3) entries may have the same entrant. For the Research Awards, no more than two (2) entries may have the same entrant.
How will NIHCM use the entrant information?
If the entry is chosen as a finalist, the entrant will be notified and may also be asked to verify the citation of the entry for our finalist list. The entrant on a winning entry will determine how the prize is distributed.
