Research and Policy Analyst

The National Institute for Health Care Management Research and Educational Foundation
(NIHCM Foundation), based in Washington, DC, seeks a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Research and Policy Analyst.
Duties and Scope of Responsibilities
• Conduct analysis of current health policy issues and implications for health care reform implementation.
• Identify emerging private sector innovations in health care delivery and payment reform.
• Assist with designing and executing webinars.
• Research, analyze and write health policy briefs.
• Represent NIHCM by attending briefings and conferences and synthesizing information.
• Build and maintain relationships with federal agency partners, health plans and national organizations.
Education, Training, and Experience
Position requires a master’s degree in health policy, public policy or related fields and one to three years’ work experience in health policy or public policy research and analysis is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of health care systems, including the private sector, and understanding of legislative and policymaking process. Demonstrated ability to think strategically. Strong analytic and research skills. Ability to thrive in a work environment with concurrent assignments and to work independently as well as in teams. Detail-oriented, self-starter. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
